2012 Rotary Nationals

JessieLast weekend was the ever famous NZ car enthusiast place of heaven, The 2012 4 and Rotary Nationals.

For those who don’t know what the 4 & Rotary Nationals are (Nats or 4&Rotor for short) it is a 2 day event that brings people from all over NZ to Auckland (and lucky this year some Aussies too!

The first day is the show shine where everyone gets to show off their pride and joy to have some very selective judges, judge their car in different categories to win some seriously awesome prizes. Every year people get their cars absolutely perfect to be show ready and this year it didn’t disappoint. I saw some regulars that are there year in and year out but no less, always impressive and there was also a lot of newbies to the scene trying to get their car seen from so many people. The day also brings live DJs, V8 Hall of fame, stunt drivers showing their skills, live track drifting, trucks on display and promo babes everywhere in the skimpiest of clothes but also added this year they had the Aussie “champion oil Australian Invasion” cars on show that were going to be dragging the next day.

The second day is the famous drags at Meremere. The amount of people that have always come to the drags never ceases to amaze me but I can see why. Smell of burning rubber, blown tyres, burn outs, crashes on the strip, 4-wheel driving, bikini competition, Paintballing (don’t know if they had it this year) some really hot guys that I see and get to perve on :P, merchandise and also added this year, kiwis vs aussies and Helicopter rides thanks to Helisika.

I have been blessed to have been able to be part of the 4 & Rotary scene/Crew 4 times already. First time I went was in 2009 to the Nats, I worked for Xtreme Clutch and entered into the bikini Competition. I had such an amazing weekend having fun up on staage and surprisingly I came 2nd and won Peoples Choice (I really didn’t think I would come anything). That same year I got asked if I was going to the Jamboree and I thought yeah why not? So off for the weekend I went to Palmy with some friends, went to the Jamboree and I won the bikini comp which made me get this on the 4&R website – http://www.4androtary.co.nz/Models/miss-4-a-rotary-jamboree-2009-jessie-ann/ I was so proud of myself! 2nd place, 1st place and a peoples choice, how awesome!

The next year, 2010 I couldn’t make it to the Nats 🙁 BUT I made time again to go to the jamboree and worked as a 4&Rotary model for the event. Some of us girls that were there for the bikini comp (which I had to do because I got told I had to) were all friends by now, Ra, Erin, Kirsten, Krystal and myself and along with some newbies we met on the day. At one point we all got outta hand (mind you we had been all up the night before partying and drinking and what not then add that with so much V and lack of sleep…yeah) and Mr Cooper walked in on me humping Erin from behind while she was bending over in front of a mirror. I don’t know why she was bending over and I don’t know why I started humping her but I will never forget Mr Cooper’s face when I turned around and saw him standing there. I think that’s the point he realised I’m a bit of a nutty one BUT that was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had with my girls and I will never forget those EPIC memories.

2011 I couldn’t make it but this year, because I’m moving to Aussie I made it a priority to be a part of the crew one last time at the nats and also hoping the Jamboree too :). What an amazing and epic weekend I had and I am glad I did it! I worked as the 4 &Rotary Model again which gets me a few perks (Thank you AZ you know you love me 😀 ) but I knew that if I didn’t work there I would regret it later on and I don’t ever want to live my life with regrets. I love the crew that I get to work with as they are just a bunch of great guys and gals who really pull together, work as a whole and look after one another. We take the piss out of each other but also have each others backs. The 4 & Rotary crew really are some of the greatest bunch of people I have ever met and I am privileged that I know them and I hope they know I’m going to miss them heaps! No matter what event I ever work at from this point on, no crew will ever compare to them.

These events that the 4 & Rotary team put on every year are really not one to miss, whether you are a spectator or working at them, they are amazing to go to as there is a little something for everyone.
